What we thought: I really loved this kit! I don't wear a lot of makeup for two reasons...I have very dry skin and generally makeup makes my face look even drier and flaky:(...but more importantly I am a stay-at-home-mom to two kiddos and I really find I have more important things to do than apply makeup for hours every morning when nobody is even going to see it. I enjoy putting on makeup when we go out, but those occasions are few and far between, so I feel like daily makeup use is not really on my to-do list. However, this kit from Southern Magnolia Minerals has changed that. First of all, this makeup is so incredibly lightweight, it didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup! And a little goes a long way so that definitely helps in the budget department:) Secondly, even though the only adult I see on most days is my husband, when I wore Southern Magnolia Minerals makeup each time I passed a mirror I stopped a moment and smiled at my reflection. I really felt good about myself. Generally when I pass a mirror I don't even look up because I know what I'm going to see, but when wearing this makeup, my look was so finished and naturally beautiful, it really did improve my mood. This might sound silly to some people, but to those of use who have limited social lives, those whose lives revolve around raising kiddos and cleaning and cooking and all that jazz, a mood booster (especially when it is as simple as a five minute application of mineral makeup) is pretty awesome. So, moral of the story, now that I've found a makeup that doesn't irritate my skin, is quick and easy to apply, and makes me feel pretty, I think I might be wearing makeup on some of those days I don't plan on seeing anyone other than the kiddos, my husband and my gorgeous reflection:) ABCD Diaries gives Southern Magnolia Minerals an A+!
