Scholastic Storybook DVDs to Celebrate Chinese and African American Heritage + Giveaway!

Wong (Law and Order: SVU).
The DVD also includes a behind-the-scenes interview with Jon J. Muth, the award-winning author/illustrator of “Stone Soup”, “The Three Questions” and other popular stories for kids. Muth also illustrated cards for Magic: The Gathering.

What we thought:  The kiddos loved both of these DVDs!  Both Stone Soup and March On! were the perfect complement to our February lessons for Chinese New Year and Black History Month.  What an easy and fun way to teach kiddos about Chinese and African American history and culture!  ABCD Diaries gives both of these DVDs an A+!

  1. I am glad that the kids were able to learn important lessons about strength of character, community and working together. this type of media is so useful. In the same way that kids can learn poor manners and bad habits from what they watch, they can pick up essential life skills through what they watch as well.

  2. I generally keep my kids aways from watching DVDs or videos on iPAD. They just get hooked to it and it becomes a daily habit watching these videos. But once in a while i do love to show them scholastic storybook videos or dvds. Thanks for sharing this.

  3. I love having my kids use the ipad for reading! It's like having a library of books for all ages right in your hands! Many are free and there is always something new for my kids to read!
