little bee books has some big news! They just released a brand new chapter books series called Ella and Owen starring twin dragons who couldn’t be less alike.
Ella and Owen: The Cave of Aaaaah! Doom! (Book #1)
Laugh along with Ella and Owen, twin dragons that go on crazy quests but always try to make it home for dinner.
In the first book of the Ella and Owen series, the twin siblings are at odds. Owen is happy to stay in bed reading as he nurses his cold, but outgoing Ella wants an adventure. She finally convinces her brother to join her on a quest to find a wizard that will help cure Owen of his flaming cold, as well as add to his ogre toenail collection.
Owen quickly learns that the journey isn’t what his sister made it out to be. They run into a dragon-eating ogre, get caught in not one, buttwo cages, and have to outsmart an evil vegetable wizard, which is Owen’s worst nightmare (vegetables + wizards = NO FUN AT ALL!).
Ella and Owen: Attack of the Stinky Fish Monster! (Book #2)
In this second book in the Ella and Owen series, the dragon siblings find themselves face-to-face with a stinky fish monster!
We pick up right where Book One left off—with the siblings splashing around in a lake, not knowing where they are. Once they find their way home, they are reminded that it’s their mother’s birthday. The twins head out on a new adventure in search of special ingredients in order to make her a cake. They end up being turned into newts and run into a Stinky Fish Monster that wants to eat them! This fun romp will have kids laughing and turning the pages!
With easy-to-read language and illustrations on almost every page, little bee chapter books are perfect for beginning readers age 6-8.
A, who is 10, loved these two books! Based on the first two books, we think this series promises to be a good one.
