Once Again Nut Butter is an employee-owned business, located in upstate New York, that has been manufacturing nut butters, seed butters, and honeys since 1976. Their nut and seed butters are all gluten free certified, non GMO verified, certified organic, vegan, and kosher. Once Again Nut Butter follows Fair Trade and Sustainability standards for their farm partners, suppliers, and prices.
We recently got to try out several nut and seed butters thanks to Once Again and MomsMeet:
First up, Sunflower Seed Butter, made by roasting organic sunflower seeds that are then milled smooth with sugar and salt added to create a delicious spread. Just 3 ingredients in this spread! Great for dipping carrot sticks!
Next Almond Butter, made with organic almonds that are dry roasted and milled until creamy...a single ingredient spread! This spread made an amazing AB&J sandwich :)
Cashew Butter was a hit in a nutty smoothie and was great mixed in oatmeal as well! Made with organic cashews with 5%-8% expeller-pressed organic sunflower oil to enhance the spreadability of this butter.
We used our No Stir Peanut Butter (organic dry roasted peanuts as the only ingredient!) to make some scrum-diddly-umptious Peanut Butter Bars that are sure to satisfy that sweet tooth!
Check out the recipe:
Peanut Butter Bars with Chocolate Ganache (adapted from Food Network's Nancy Fuller)
Ingredients:
Nonstick cooking spray, for baking dish
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup Once Again No-Stir Peanut Butter
Kosher salt
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
Directions:
Coat the bottom and sides of an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, stir to combine the confectioners' sugar, graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish and set aside.
Place the chocolate and 1/8 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl. Heat the cream in a small saucepan until bubbles start to form around the edges. Pour the cream over the chocolate, let sit for 1 minute and then whisk until completely melted and smooth.
Pour the ganache over the peanut butter mixture and refrigerate until the chocolate is cooled and set, at least 45 minutes and up to overnight.
Sprinkle evenly with the flaky sea salt. Cut into squares to serve.
(I doubled the recipe so B could take half the pan to work. Doubled fit nicely into a 9X13 pan and made nice deep bars)
I also got a little impatient waiting for the chocolate to melt, so there were still some chunks of solid chips...we loved the added crunch!
Once Again Nut and Seed Butters are a great alternative to those mass produced varieties that are full of added junk. We loved them!
