We recently had the chance to review a Cloud 9 Box:

The presentation was super cute and simple and the box was full of awesome goodies:

The May box included samples of Flourish shampoo and conditioner.  We received Honey Blossom Shampoo and Lavender Mint Conditioner.  

Both worked really well and smelled divine!

My favorite items in this box were the Lovely Candy Co Samples...Caramels and Super Fruit Chews.  These candies have way less sugar than other candies and are made with select ingredients.  They are also gluten and gmo-free.  Oh and they are delicious!  Our "sample" packs each included 2-3 serving sizes...plenty to share:)

We also received a full size bag of Nutiva Chia Seed along with a great recipe booklet full of ideas on how to add this superfood to your diet.  The Craft of Tea sample was enough for at least 6 cups of strong tea.  I love Earl Gray and this blend was truly satisfying!  The Free For All Crackers were Roasted Garlic and Rosemary flavored and we couldn't even tell they were gluten-free!  Super savory:)

Overall, this was a really fun sample box.  I was pretty impressed with the size of many of the samples, some even full-sized!  What a great way to try before you buy!

We do a lot of fishing, so this rod/reel combo was super exciting to review!  It is easy enough for beginner fishermen, but of good enough quality that even more experienced fishermen can appreciate the novelty of it:)  The Duck Dynasty camo print is so fun and if you have a fishing dad who loves the show, this would be a fantastic gift!  This combo retails for under $30 and can be found at Walmart, Bass Pro and Academy.  What a fun, affordable gift for Dad this year!

We recently had the chance to review a Hear Doggy dog toy:

What we thought:

Shiner really enjoyed chewing on his Hear Doggy flat toy!  I can't vouch for it's ultrasonic squeaker, it's possible it's squeaking, but all I hear upon squeezing it is  puff of air.  Shiner doesn't seem to react one way or another when we squeak it, but he sure loves chewing on it!  It's flat and not full of stuffing, which means no mess.  It's a pretty cute little toy:)

We recently had the chance to review a swimwear set from Baby Banz:

Baby Banz started in Australia with one dad's search to find dependable sun protection for his little one.  The brand now offers UPF 50+ swimwear, sunglasses and other helpful UPF 50+ products for children worldwide.

The set we reviewed included a pair of board shorts and a rash guard top.  D loves it!  The shorts are intentionally long which provides maximum coverage.  The set together is really comfy and easy to care for.  It's also chemical-free which is a great feature for delicate, sensitive skin.

 Living on the Texas coast, we spend a lot of time at the beach year-round and good sun protection is a necessity.  I love that I can trust Baby Banz to work as an extra layer of sun protection and provide stylish outfits that my kiddos actually enjoy wearing!

We recently had the chance to review trio of great children's DVDs from Mill Creek Direct:

 This educational collection for babies helps introduce concepts like letters, numbers, sounds, shapes, and other verbal and non-verbal educational building blocks. 

 Max, Lily, and Goo use counting, measuring, sorting, and other mathematical skills in exploring the world around them and making friends.

Bo, an inquisitive young girl, takes on a variety of different quests that require a healthy combination of physical activity and creative thinking.

What we thought:
Being a former early childhood educator and a current homeschooling mom, I think I'm a fairly good judge of great children's "edutainment"- educational entertainment:)  These three DVDs definitely fit the bill!  My kiddos loved the Bo on the Go and Monsters Math Squad series!  Bo on the Go encourages physical activity and thinking skills, while Monster Math Squad teachers early mathematics skills.  Each contains lots of episodes to get the kiddos engaged and learning...26 episodes on Bo on the Go and 30 on Monster Math Squad. The Best of Baby First DVD would be fantastic for the littlest learners:)  

These DVDs would be great for encouraging learning all summer long!
