Unleashing the Power of Parental Love, A Book Review...

From author, Gary M. Unruh:
"How to discipline your child with parental love is a timeless question. As a child mental health counselor, parent of four children, and "papa" of nine grandchildren, I've been there and will be for years.

So, if you need useful information about how to discipline your child with love that you can use right away, look no farther.
The advice and information you will receive from me about how to discipline your child with love is based on several definite conclusions that have emerged from counseling over 2000 children and their families:

Children are born fundamentally good. A child's life-sustaining need, equal to food, is to feel "I'm good,""I'm lovable," and to avoid "I'm bad."

A child's joy and self-confidence is dependent on the degree to which parents focus on the good at the center of their child. I call this the unleashed power of parental love.
Consistently focusing on the child's good requires a difficult but achievable learned skill: consistently setting aside your own thoughts and feelings at the beginning of a conflict and concentrating instead on those of your child.

This parental-love skill of consistently focusing on the child's good is best achieved when the parent learns and applies key human-condition information during a parent-child exchange."

What I thought of the book:
Gary M. Unruh offers his unique insight as a child psychologist to give you relatable stories and ways to handle the situations in your family that are easy to follow through and offer immediate and constant results when continually practiced. By focusing on your child's feelings and emotions and validating them, you in turn allow them to lead a "joyful" life and make them feel loved. The basic premise of the book is to find the good in each child apply all of your energies to those aspects.
Unleashing the Power of Parental Love provides essential information that will help you do the most crucial and most rewarding job in the world—raising a child—in a more informed, effective, and truly loving manner.
