We recently had the chance to review the board game Erudition.

Sight words are the cornerstone of Erudition™

Erudition™ incorporates over 300 sight words, the letters of the alphabet and their consonant and short vowel sounds in an enjoyable, engaging activity. The game takes new readers on a fun adventure through literacy land complete with common landmarks and street signs. The average play time is 15-20 minutes."

What we thought: 4 year old A really enjoyed this game. She picked it up really quickly and I can tell it is really helping her recognize more words. I liked that it has different sets of cards for different levels of learning. We started with 2 year old D on the first deck and it was just a little bit over his head. A mastered deck 2 quickly and is having a lot of fun on deck 3. This is a really great way to build up quite an impressive list of words for new readers and I know it is helping to make A even more prepared for Kindergarten. As a former teacher, I recommend this game for ages 3+:) ABCD Diaries gives Erudition an A+!
