*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to True Leaf Market for providing product samples in order to facilitate this post.  All thoughts are strictly my own.

We love counter top gardening!  True Leaf Market has so many kits that are great for any level of gardener and we recently got to try out their Sprouting Kit, a selection of sprout seeds and a handy book on everything sprouts!

100% of True Leaf Market seeds are non-GMO, and they have a huge selection of organic seed options to choose from.  You can find seeds of all types for your garden, as well as microgreens, sprouts, flower, grain, cover crop and more. They also have a variety of growing supplies, kits and other products.

We were super excited to get to try a selection of goodies from True Leaf Market.  We love eating a variety of sprouts, but it is hard to find them fresh locally.  We've always used the jar method for sprouting (you can find the supplies you need for that at True Leaf Market too 😊) and found it to be super simple.  It's surprising how fast and easy it can be to grow your own sprouts if you have good quality seeds and the right tools for the job.  Check out our most recent sprouting experience and find out more about True Leaf Market sprouting products below.

First up, the sprouting seeds:

Bean Salad

A high-protein sprout seed mix, this delicious blend of sproutable beans is super yummy!  They yield a crunchy sprout, but can also be used as dry beans to make a soup.

Alfalfa

These are probably the easiest sprouts to grow and the among the most common.  They contain loads of vital nutrients like Calcium, Iron, Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K.  Alfalfa is also rich in phyto-chemicals and antioxidants. One pound of alfalfa seed produces 10-14 pounds of sprouts.  These tiny powerhouses contain 35% protein and are the perfect addition to any salad or sandwich!

3 Part Salad Mix

This mix yields a surprisingly spicy blend of sprouts thanks to the combination of broccoli, alfalfa and radish seeds.  Really yummy and just as easy to grow as alfalfa!

Unhulled Green Lentils

Raw green lentil sprouts have a delicious flavor with a hint of pepper to the taste. They pack a powerful crunch and make a good substitute for celery or green pepper in salads, soups and vegetable combinations.  You can also the lentils for hearty soups and stews.

Hard Red Spring Wheat

It you are a fan of wheatgrass, you will love this!  These wheat berries have an excellent germination rate of 98-100%!   After 2-3 days, you'll have deliciously sweet wheat berry sprouts, after 7-10 days, you will have wheatgrass!  You can also use these for grinding into whole wheat flour.

All of these sprouting seeds come in generous packages that are resealable, making for easy storage.

True Leaf Market also sent us this amazing guide, Sprouting For Health, that is full of growing tips, nutritional info, recipes and more:

This booklet will offer you instructions on how to start sprouting and offer you the knowledge of why a sprouting regiment might be the best way to kick-start your healthy lifestyle.

Finally, the Sprouting Kit from True Leaf Market that makes counter top sprouting easy breezy!

This tray sprouting system is our new favorite sprouter. It is inexpensive, easy to use, and takes up very little counter space in your kitchen.  You can grow just the right amount of sprouts for your family which reduces waste.

Sprouting with this tool is as easy as 1-2-3!

The kit includes four drainboard/covers (9 inches in diameter) three sprouting trays (7 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep) 2 oz of Certified Organic Alfalfa Seed, 2 oz of Certified Organic Protein Powerhouse, 2 oz of Certified 5 Part Salad Mix and a step-by-step instructions sheet.

These nifty trays blocks light until you are ready to green up your sprouts, letting them sprout fully in darkness.  When stacked, they take up very little counter space.  They are dishwasher safe, BPA free, made in the USA and have a lifetime replacement warranty.

I put 10 year old D in charge of our first experience with this sprouting system.  After soaking the seeds, he covered them and then rinsed them every day. Easy peasy!  Here is his daily photo journey:
