Loved + Blessed: A Christian Faith-Based Subscription Box October 2019

We recently had the chance to review the October box from Loved + Blessed:


Loved+Blessed is a monthly membership and subscription care package for women who want to live life encouraged.

Let's take a look at this month's box:

Each box revolves around a central theme and comes with a mini poster, a sticker, a purse-sized scripture card and a gift.


The theme for the October box was Identity:


 The scripture card this month featured John 1:12  "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God"

I definitely think there is room for Loved + Blessed in the subscription box market and I love that their mission is to deliver encouraging products that support a fantastic message!

#HolidayBaking Recipe Roundup with Our Favorite Sugar Brands!

'Tis the season for holiday baking and one staple in all our holiday baked goods is sugar!  We used some of our favorites sugars to whip up some of our favorite recipes and are excited to share them with y'all today!  So, dust off those mixing bowls and let's get baking!


We love using Domino, C&H and Florida Crystals sugars and used them in place of all of the sugar in our recipe roundup.  Check them out and then browse the recipes below:


Florida Crystals uses sun-sweetened cane sugar that's sustainably grown. Their sugar cane is grown with earth-friendly care because they know what begins on their farm, ends at your table.  We used both their Organic Raw Cane Sugar and their velvety Organic Brown Raw Cane Sugar.  Both dissolve wonderfully!


 We also used C&H Pure Cane Sugar, both the Golden and the Dark Brown varieties.  These brown sugars really add a deep rich flavor to whatever you're baking.  I especially love the easy to close bags that keep the sugar moist and soft.  Brown sugar with no clumps? Yes please!


Another of my favorite Dark Brown Sugars comes from Domino:


This is perfect for adding depth to any baked good.  The dark, molasses infused flavor is ideal for gingerbread and we love it in drop cookies too!

On to the recipes!  We used the above sugars along with Domino's Golden Sugar in all of these and they turned out amazing every time!  No wasted desserts around here 😊

Maple Apple Upside Down Cake from Foodie with Family

If you love maple and apples, you will love this cake!  


Our favorite muffin recipe and it tastes good all year round!  A great way to use up browning bananas and they work for breakfast OR dessert!


Loaded with candy bar chunks, these cookies are always a hit everywhere we take them!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

One of our all-time favorite cakes, we use a boxed cake mix, but sub the pineapple juice we drain from the canned pineapples for the water!  Moist and delicious and bursting with pineapple flavor!


Literally, the best chocolate chip cookies!  We add a cup of chopped pecans to the original recipe and OMG.  Best. Cookies. EVER!



Oatmeal cookies more your style?  These make the house smell amazing and are super easy to make.  We love taking these to dinner parties and BBQs.  Always a hit!


Fall is officially here and this cake is the perfect fall treat!  We mix in a little chai spice to the buttercream icing and YUMMO!  Super moist and the tangy, spiced cream cheese icing is ah-mazing!


Okay, I don't have a picture of this one because I forgot to take it and then we INHALED this cake!  You can pop on over to Southern Plate to ogle her mouthwatering pics 😊 It is super moist and screams fall just like the pumpkin cake above.  Plus, it's another dessert that works well for breakfast...you gotta love that!
