#ValentinesDayGiftGuide - A Gift to Last All Year: Tea Subscription from Tea Runners!

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Tea Runners for providing product samples in order to facilitate this post.  All thoughts are strictly my own.

Tea subscriptions are my jam!  Nothing beats opening up the mailbox to see that pretty little package and the excitement of opening it up to see which goodies you get to enjoy each month!  Tea Runners is an awesome tea subscription that is super easy to customize to your tastes.  This subscription would make a really fantastic Valentine's gift!

You can pick all herbals, all black, a mix of both or a pure tea box.  Each box contains 4 large packs of tea or tea blends according to your box selection.  Near the end of each month, the teas that will be included are posted on the website.  If there is something you want to trade out, Tea Runners let's you choose from 15+ different options each month.

I love the surprise of not knowing my teas.  Here is what we got to try from the Original Box for January:

Maghreb Mint

Take a trip to North Africa with this worldly and spicy tea, an exotic and intoxicating blend of roasted green tea, peppermint, ginger, and cardamom.  The warm nutty notes are pleasantly offset with aromatic clove and woody fennel, creating a unique and lively, unforgettable cup.

Classic Laoshan Black

Laoshan is a small village near the sea in northeast China. Laoshan black teas are usually small and tippy, lacking the white pekoe-style hairs that give black teas their golden color.  Classic Laoshan Black, grown under the shadow of a sacred mountain, is very smooth and viscous with a robust flavor that has a distinct dark chocolate bite.  People often question whether sugar was added to this tea, but it's simply the weather and soil that make this tea naturally sweet and thick.

Herbal Root Beer

Bursting with personality and nostalgic root beer flavor, this fun and vivacious tea kicks off the palate with tart black currant and licorice root.  Green rooibos further aids in this tea’s natural ability to help digestion, while rosehips and red rose petals create a richness to make it a perfect after dinner treat.

Nepali Breakfast

This breakfast tea is a truly unique and exotic way to start the day. Steeping to a deep ruby red hue due to the addition of CTC leaves, it also sings with the bright and complex flavors of Orthodox tea.  What really makes it a standout is its gorgeous layer of masala spice mix, leaving the palate awakened with notes of clove, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.

If you find a tea you fall in love with, you can buy it individually at Tea Runners.  Each bag of tea is super full and a subscription box has enough for dozens of cups of tea each month!  The bags are resealable to ensure the freshness of your tea.  The bags have tons of tea notes on them with instructions, recommendations, ingredients, tasting notes, origins, steeping temperatures and times, caffeine levels...all the information you need to make your tea time the most pleasant experience possible.

Tea Runners has several subscription options, ranging from $21.25 to $25 per box and shipping is free in the US and Canada for subscription boxes.  Y'all know I think tea makes one of the best gifts, so if you have a tea-loving Valentine, a subscription to Tea Runners will be a slam dunk, heartfelt gift this year!
