Cover Mate Review and Giveaway...

Thanks to Cover Mate, we recently had the opportunity to review these innovative covers:

About Cover Mate:
"Covering Made Easy-
Whether you are covering a plate of leftovers, keeping a salad fresh, or taking a veggie tray to party, Covermate has you covered. New Covermate stretch-to-fit food covers provide a quick and easy way to cover all plates, bowls and containers. Covermate covers are sold in individual boxes of medium size covers (12 ct), large size covers (10 ct) and our new Variety Pack (10 ct) which contains a selection of medium, large and extra large size covers.
Save Your Food In A Snap-
Built-in FlexBand® that stretches to perfectly fit and seal
Fits any shape dish, bowl, plate or container to keep food fresh
Easy to uncover and recover
Microwavable for splatter-free reheating
Reusable and dishwasher safe
Made in the USA
Advanced Design, Simple to Use-
Covermate was designed as a superior alternative to traditional foil and plastic wrap products, as well as old-fashioned shower cap style bowl covers.
Covermate’s Flexband technology allows you to cover, uncover and re-cover dishes in seconds. A heat-sealed edge provides a tight hygienic seal to keep food fresh. The covers are made from clear material so it is easy to see contents. Each cover has four built-in corners that expand as necessary to fit any shape. And tiny corner vents allow steam to escape when used in a microwave.
These advanced features, which are covered by four pending patent applications, combine to provide an easy to use solution to all of your covering needs."

What we thought: These were pretty cool. We have several Tupperware-type dishes that have somehow "lost" their lids, so Cover Mate was perfect for these. They also came in handy when I was too lazy to move salad fixings into palstic containers...I just covered each bowl with a Cover Mate and Voila...fridge ready! They fit a variety of sizes including a casserole dish and they fit snugly. They also held up in the microwave! We would recommend these to a busy family as a replacement to foil, plastic wrap, and possibly even plastic containers:) ABCD DIaries gives Cover Mate and A!

Buy It: Find the perfect solution for covering your dishes at Cover Mate or check the store locator for a retailer near you.

Win It: Cover Mate has generously offered one ABCD Diaries reader a variety pack of Cover Mates!! To enter, tell us what you would use a Cover Mate on.

  17. It alway seems like it takes me forever to find a matching lid for the plastic storage containers. It sounds like the Cover Mate would eliminate the hassle.

  21. I would use mine on leftovers because I have three kids under the age of four and they tend to leave a lot of food on their plates that I hate to waste.
