#MothersDayGiftGuide: Beautiful Ecuadorian Textiles from Ecuadane!

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Ecuadane for providing product samples in order to facilitate this post.  All thoughts are strictly my own.

Want to treat your mom with an amazing and beautiful gift she can use all year long?  Check out the awesome blankets, ponchos and scarves from Ecuadane!

The beautiful and exclusive textile collection from Ecuadane unites traditional South American design with the simple Nordic style. All of the products in the collection are made in Ecuador by native Otavaleños with the greatest respect for the environment who use at least 80% recycled textile fibers.  The company itself is owned and operated by three amazing women who happen to be sisters

Have a look at a piece from each collection below:

Women's Colibri Grey and White Knit Infinity Scarf

Get ready, because I'm going to say this over and over throughout this post...This scarf is so super soft!

The beautiful neutral colors make it the perfect addition to pretty much any outfit.

It adds layers and texture, but is super lightweight, so you can wear it all through spring and even on those cooler summer nights!  Infinity scarves are so easy to style and they look great on everybody, making this a great addition to your wardrobe!

Women's Steel Grey Poncho

Another gorgeous and crazy soft piece, this poncho is cozy and stylish.

Again, I love the neutral colors that make this piece easy to match.

This poncho makes is easy to achieve that casual, cool, drapey look for backyard BBQs or beach bonfires.  It is simply beautiful!

‘Cotacachi' Water Large Southwestern Blanket

I love cozy things and this blanket is THE coziest. This generously sized blanket is so absolutely gorgeous and...you guessed it...SOFT!  The beautiful color palette pays homage to a cosmic space and the expression of the stars according to the website description and it's just lovely!

It is made with recycled textile fibers (80% acrylic), wool (15%), and alpaca wool (5%), meaning this handmade blanket is both eco-friendly and super-dee-duper soft.

This high quality, artisan made blanket will bring rustic charm to any environment.  It is lightweight and breathable and will work for every season.  It looks great as a couch blanket :)  It measures about the size of a queen blanket and it is (thankfully) machine washable!

It has fast become everybody's favorite blanket around here and it deserves every bit of it's popularity!

So, other than the amazingly amazing handmade products, why should you support Ecuadane?  Because they are a company run by amazingly amazing people!  After the 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Muisne, Ecuador in 2016, much of the town was left homeless.  Even years after the quake, the community is struggling to rebuild.  I can absolutely relate to this situation after our home and coastal community were devastated by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.  The sense of hopelessness after your world has been turned upside down due to natural disaster is incredibly overwhelming.   The sisters that run Ecuadane decided to do something to help in Muisne, and set up PROJECT MUISNE.  Ecuadane donated 100% of all their sales for the month of December and then trekked to Ecuador to put that donation to work building homes in Muisne.  WOW!  Color me impressed!

So, this Mother's Day, shop Ecuadane for the perfect gift for Mom and make sure to let her know her gift helped support local craftsmen (and women:) and the communities in need in Ecuador!  Items from Ecuadane are truly gorgeous gifts that give back!!
